‘In the middle of Saturday’s Shabbat prayer service, members of Saskatoon’s Congregation Agudas Israel heard strange sounds coming from outside.

When they went to check what was going on, they saw the exterior of the synagogue splattered with eggs. Vehicles in the parking lot were also damaged, according to Rabbi Claudio Jodorkovsky.

He said they immediately called Saskatoon police to investigate.

Jodorkovsky said he is troubled that the vandalism happened in broad daylight.

“It didn’t happen overnight; this was in the morning and people were inside the building,” he said.’
