Professor Ofira Ayalon is an expert in environmental science, specializing in sustainability, waste management, and energy policy. She holds a PhD in Waste Management and degrees in Agricultural Engineering and Biotechnology from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. She currently serves as a Full Professor at the University of Haifa’s School of Environmental Sciences and as Head of the Energy and Environment Cluster at the Samuel Neaman Institute at the Technion. Ayalon’s research spans energy management, food loss reduction, biofuels, cleantech, and climate change mitigation. Her work has shaped national environmental policies in Israel, collaborating with governmental agencies on impactful solutions.
