Professor Isaac A. Meir is a professor at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department under the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, and in the Desert Architecture & Urban Planning Unit within the J. Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, all at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He is also affiliated with the Ben-Gurion University Energy and Sustainability Center and the School Sustainability and Climate Change. His research interests broadly includes sustainable development and green techology, with focuses including sustainable infrastructure and housing in arid zones, energy conservation, post-occupancy evaluation and indoor environment quality, zero energy communities, and more. He has served as a consultant to the Israel Ministries of Construction and Housing, the Israel Land Administration, and other entities.
