Dr. Roby Nathanson's expertise is at the intersection of economic, social, and foreign policy/international relations matters. His role as the General Director at The Macro Center for Political Economics was preceded by his experience as the Director General of Institute for Economic Research for Histadrut, the General Federation of Labour in Israel from 1984 to 1995. He was then appointed as the Head of Administration for Economic and Peace Research at the Prime Minister's Office for over a year. These two roles involved strategic design of national economic policy, regional cooperation, and labor systems, with advising on peace-related economic planning, multilateral negotiations, structural reforms, and cross-border resource and workforce issues. Dr. Nathanson has lectured at the Eitan Berglas School of Economics, Tel-Aviv University and at the Hebrew University School of Business, and currently lectures at the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo and serves as a senior advisor at the Open University.
